1. Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients and Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimises waste,
2. Adhere to and implement sanitation and safety regulations and ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner
3. Works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns
4. Manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking.
5. Trains new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards and ensure they are maintaining quality and consistency by following designated recipes/SOPs
6. Coordinates with manager on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing and Resolve GUEST problems and concerns personally.
7. Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards and develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and guest demand
8. Perform and responsible for any other responsibilities allocated to him time to time by Exe Chef/Sr management
Position Summary: As a Commis II, you would be working on a variety of stations in a high-volume kitchen environment. He is responsible for creating an exceptional culinary experience for the guests through preparation, cooking, and food presentation.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Help supervise kitchen helpers and apprentices
• Oversee subordinate personnel in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food
Experience:
• Previous Hospitality experience working as a Commis II
Position Summary: Commis Chefs are the first rung in the kitchen ladder on the way to becoming a top chef. They are junior chefs who learn and practice their craft under the eye of a Chef De Partie so as to learn the ins and outs of each specific situation.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting Other Chefs in the Kitchen.
• Measuring Ingredients.
• Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie.
• Accepting store deliveries is also part of the Commis I Chef duties.
• Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items on time.
• Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
• Ensure the quality of the food items.
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu.
Experience:
• Previous Hospitality experience working as a Commie I
• Great teamwork skills and attention to detail
• If you are an Indian Commie 1 Chef candidate, then you should have knowledge of Indian menu. E.g. Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Dal Makhani etc.
• If you are a Tandoor Commie 1 Chef, then you should have knowledge of Tandoor menu. E.g. Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Naan, Chicken Bharta etc.
